She travels to the world exhibition in Shanghai on 1 April 2010.
There she will be in the Danish pavilion, which is one among the 200 exhibits at Expo 2010, which starts on 1 May 2010 and ending six months later.
She returns home to Denmark again on 30 November 2010
This is the first time The Little Mermaid leave Langelinie which she has served since 1913 - if you look away from the times she has been carved head.
The little mermaid is. Executed by sculptor Edvard Eriksen, who was inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales.

Denmark - or Danmark (pronounced [dænmɑɡ̊]) – the southernmost of the Nordic countries.
The population of Denmark is 5.5 million, spread over 43.000 km² (16,640 sq mi).

The Climate is in the temperate zone, the summers are relatively cool, and so the mean temperature in August is 15,5 °C. Denmark has approximately 121 days of rain during the year. But don’t be afraid of the weather; in summer you can enjoy long sunny days, with sunrise at 4 a.m. and sunset at 10 p.m.
Denmark is ranked 10th for the greenest countries to live in worldwide, and Copenhagen is one of the most enviromentally friendly capitals. The main means of transport in the city is the bicycle. Especially in Copenhagen, you will see bicycle stands everywhere, and next to the usual roads for cars there are special bike-roads and bike traffic-lights.
The Kingdom of Denmark is a constitutional monarchy, under the Queen of Denmark, Margarethe II, while legislative authority is vested in the Prime Minister and the Danish parliament cojointly. The current Prime Minister is Lars Løkke Rasmussen.
